Armored Republic has always urged Free Men to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. However, in times like these, the “worst” may loom large in our minds; tyranny and foolishness can drive the red-pilled among us to discontentment. But this month, we want to call America’s Free Men to remember the mercies of He who is our strength and shield, and give thanks.
If you have ever worn a plate carrier for an extended period of time, you may have come to find that it's not a pleasant experience. The weight of armor plates, lack of or worn out shoulder padding, and improper plate carrier adjustment are some of the primary culprits that can lead to discomfort.
Sometimes, the strength to continue is a scarce thing. Especially as things like economic recession and failure become more than a prediction that’s brushed under the rug, and acts like the Inflation Reduction Act do anything but reduce inflation, responsible Free Men are having to prioritize what’s most important.
Last month, Armored Republic celebrated 10 years of equipping Free Men with Tools of Liberty. This month, we’re continuing the march forward. In Philippians 3, the Apostle Paul speaks of walking in unity with that which we have already attained, which we shall do; 10 years after its founding, Armored Republic remains true to its original mission, to equip civilians with the ability to be useful proponents of liberty.
In 2012, the civilian body armor market did not exist. Body armor was for people who worked in tactical environments for a living; police officers and soldiers were equipped, but very few civilians had even considered the concept. Most body armor companies hated the idea of selling body armor to the free men of America. This month, Armored Republic is celebrating its 10-Year Anniversary. We have worked as a force against the elitism that used to be present in the body armor world; since 2012, the civilian body armor market has exploded with individuals ready to protect themselves and their loved ones.

For years, politicians have talked about banning body armor. One of them finally went and did it. On Monday, June 6, 2022, New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed Senate Bill S9407B, banning the sale of body armor to the general public, as well as several other infringements on your God-given rights as free men. On July 1st, New York had a special legislative session that redefined "body vest" from the earlier June law to an expanded definition to apparently ban any protective equipment meant to protect against gunfire, worn alone or as a complement to another product.
The Founding Fathers knew their Liberty was God-given and supersedes a government’s arbitrary claim to power when that claim contradicts freemen’s rights. The Bible establishes clear principles for legitimate government power in Romans 13 and 1st Samuel 8. That power is inherently limited. Too few people know that today. That’s why our liberty is shrinking amid ambitiously tyrannical governments. For example, New York just passed a law banning civilian body armor.
