Armored Republic: 10 Years of Equipping American Freemen

Armored Republic's 10-Year Anniversary

In 2012, the civilian body armor market did not exist. Body armor was for people who worked in tactical environments for a living; police officers and soldiers were equipped, but very few civilians had even considered the concept. Most body armor companies hated the idea of selling body armor to the free men of America.

This month, Armored Republic is celebrating its 10-Year Anniversary. We have worked as a force against the elitism that used to be present in the body armor world; since 2012, the civilian body armor market has exploded with individuals ready to protect themselves and their loved ones.

The God-given right to keep and bear arms protects both your right to own a good rifle, the first Tool of Liberty, and good armor, the second Tool of Liberty. Removing the barriers to those Tools is necessary for our fight against tyranny.

Armored Republic helped build the civilian market by removing the barrier of high costs with the introduction of steel armor: A cost-effective rifle-rated plate that anyone could afford: $65 plates from our AR500 Armor® Heritage Plate (originally called Level III Body Armor) were unheard of before then, as was the solution to the often-discussed “fragmentation” problem, FragLock™ coating in base or Build-Up form.

Colombus’ voyage to the New World proves that a brilliant idea seems obvious once someone does it. FragLock™ is one of those ideas; steel’s low cost and high stopping power were well-known for its widespread usage in targets, but only with FragLock™ could it be used as armor.

This is how the civilian body armor market was born. No longer would body armor be reserved for those with badges. The right to keep and bear arms was now met with greater ability to acquire them.

Armored Republic is on a mission to equip at least 3% of American Freemen with the body armor they need to be a bulwark against tyranny. In our first ten years, we’re a third of the way there. If God blesses the effort, we will achieve the last two-thirds by our 15th anniversary.

Noah Webster said in his comments on the Constitution, on October 10, 1787, “The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops.”

This idea is foreign to Americans in many places. With the advancement of guns and armor to new fronts, we can help them discover that renewed world of Liberty.

Armored Republic is inviting you to celebrate its 10-Year Anniversary as something that has come by God’s blessing and by your choice to equip yourself to resist tyranny. We are honored to be your armorsmith of choice.
