Press On

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Last month, Armored Republic celebrated 10 years of equipping Free Men with Tools of Liberty. This month, we’re continuing the march forward.

In Philippians 3, the Apostle Paul speaks of walking in unity with that which we have already attained, which we shall do; 10 years after its founding, Armored Republic remains true to its original mission, to equip civilians with the ability to be useful proponents of liberty. Many civilians have the first Tool, a firearm, and we want them to press on and equip themselves with the second Tool, body armor. And when they do, we want to have supplied them with the best possible Tool of Liberty.

We stay true to that mission. This is why we at Armored Republic also press on. Press on to make better equipment for more Free Men. Our carriers remain sturdy, comfortable, durable, and versatile, and we are making improvements to their design every day.

And those who have already joined Armored Republic press on too. We often receive word from people who have taken our gear into action, relied on it, and were not disappointed.

One example is from a police officer in Anchorage, Alaska, who said:

“For the last six years, I have been working as a police officer in Anchorage, Alaska. During that time, I had to buy my own rifle-rated plates for added protection during my duties. On March 18th of this year, I was shot in the line of duty while serving a search warrant. The suspect was using an SKS to shoot a 7.62 x 39 projectile, which would have punctured my issued Level IIIA body armor. But I was never concerned about my protection during the incident because I was wearing your Level IV-rated rifle plates. 

The rounds I took were in the lower body, unfortunately, so your plates were ultimately not struck (which my ribs were thankful for). Either way, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you because my carrier, which was also bought from you, was the primary source used to drag me backward to safety. Your company’s attention to detail allowed ease for my removal so life-saving measures could be done which ultimately saved my life. My plates and carrier are seized as evidence at the moment and if I can recover back to duty I’ll definitely look at your company first. Thank you so much for what you guys do.”

We regret the round missed his armor, where it would have been stopped with no issue, but we are proud to have supplied him with a carrier built to hold up under maximal tensile stress. We pray for his recovery. We are glad to have helped him and his team press on.

Another example is from a Ukraine recovery team that ventured into the war-torn Donbas area to save civilians left dead in the area. They started out with makeshift, unreliable armor. But then they received Veritas carriers and A2 plates. Per their email to us:

"I got back from my second logistics trip in Ukraine since the war started. In the beginning, we took vests from friends that had them— but our driver teams grew to 13 vans with 26 driver/navigator pairs. These guys were Aquarium supply salesmen, Verizon store guys, and used-car guys before they drove rescue missions. They were ordinary Ukrainians until war came to them. Your gear makes them heroes who live longer and return to their families. Thanks to your teams again. We threw away the garbage plates they were carrying and gave them the best! Your teams save lives- 3,000+ and counting on our end! We took some shots again this trip, but everyone is alive to make more trips in the future!"
