Body Armor, Back Face Deformation, and Trauma Pads. What does it all mean?
We test http://www.AR500Armor.com Level III Body Armor for (BFD) from the most common calibers. 5.56x45, and 7.62x51 (.308 Win) at just 5 yards. Utilizing ballistics clay we're able to determine the amount of back face deformation, or lack their-of, from each round striking the body armor.
