The Testudo Gen 2 Plate Carrier is made primarily of 500D Cordura and adjusts via cummerbund and shoulder straps to a perfect fit for the wearer. The cummerbund is also able to house 6x6 or 6x8 size side plates so you can ensure you have protection in all directions of fire. The Testudo features MOLLE webbing for attaching pouches, holsters, and other accessories, as well as an integral kangaroo pouch, integral admin pouch, removable side buckle system, and a reinforced drag handle. It is adjustable from M to XXXL T-shirt size.
The Heritage Plates give edge-to-edge, multi-hit protection against rifle threats. It has been independently tested in accordance with NIJ 0101.06 threat levels through Oregon Ballistics (OBL), and H.P. White Laboratories. This means that its Level III body armor protection is rated to stop 7.62x51 M80 NATO Ball (.308 Winchester) at a velocity of up to 2,780 FPS, and special threat tested to stop 5.56mm M855/SS109 (Green Tip) at a velocity of 2,780 FPS.
Each Trauma Pad is specially engineered to mitigate blunt force trauma in case your armor takes a round and reduces the amount of back face deformation that could occur, which can mitigate the risk of injury after impact.
The included Economy Sling is a two-point longarm sling with an adjustable 1.5” webbing for the body, 1” webbing at the connection ends, and paracord loops for attachment. A simple and compact solution to having your long gun with you at all times.
The Multi-Caliber Pistol Holster is an ambidextrous and fully adjustable holster made primarily of 500D Cordura nylon; it fits well on your carrier for easy access to a secondary firearm.
The Kangaroo Magazine Insert is designed to convert the Kangaroo pocket on a plate carrier to retain three AR-15 style Magazines.
The Shotgun Pouch can hold 25 rounds of 12-gauge ammunition, easily accessible with Hypalon elastic flaps.
The MIRA Safety CM-7M Gas Mask, in tandem with the P-CAN filter, protects against fumes like tear gas and other riot control agents. It is made to be tactically compatible with all the other gear you’ll need to stay in the fight: the tapered design allows for cheek weld on rifles and other long guns. The recessed binocular visor accommodates aiming with night vision optics and red dot sighting systems. The low-profile cut allows for integration with modern ballistic helmets and ear protection.
