The Testudo is designed for both coverage and comfort. For coverage, the Testudo Gen 2 is able to hold the biggest size the industry offers (11”x14”) as well as the more common 10”x12”. Its cummerbund also accommodates 6x6 and 6x8 side plates for protection facing all directions. For comfort, generous padding prevents chafing and the full adjustability of the cummerbund let you choose the ideal fit. This adjustability makes the Testudo more than a “one-size-fits-all” solution since the size itself can be changed to best suit you.
The Testudo also has plenty of PALS webbing for attaching MOLLE-compatible pouches, holsters, and accessories. On the PALS is an application of Velcro, offering superior versatility for placement of medical, moto, or other patches or gear.
The multi-curve A1 body armor provides Level III+ protection. This means it is capable of defeating rounds such as Green Tip, .308, M193, and 7.62. It can stop many, many rounds of said hits. It's also pre-upgraded with the FragLock™ Build-Up coating, which gives both fragmentation protection and seals the plate to ensure its 20-year shelf life.
The modular AR Chest Rig can be used independently of a plate carrier or in addition to one. It externally houses three rows of MOLLE webbing which allow you to mount additional pouches, extension flaps for additional MOLLE space, adjustable H-harness and waist strap, and plate carrier compatibility with QASM buckles.
