Great piece of kit, expandable and configurable for your personal skill level. Review by Backwoods Law Verified Purchase
I normally create my own blow out kits (IFAK's) and use them for duty gear and personal protective equipment. I recently purchased some new plates and saw these while I was making up my armor kit. On a whim I decided to get one for me and the wife to use on our plate carriers. The only item this kit is lacking is a chest decompression needle. I have several of those on hand for making kits for close friends and family that become aware of the active shooter risk we all face on a daily basis. This kit has a very thin profile to fit on your off hand side and stay out of the way on a plate carrier, or to strap on to a pack or battle belt. I personally like the ability to only half open the pack and still be able to access all the items while the pack is still attached to the carrier. I got the CAT gen7's with mine as they are the ones I have used and trained on regularly. An added cost, but worth it to have familiar equipment at your fingertips. BAckwoods Law on youtube. Compact and functional Review by Crusader 76 Verified Purchase
Fantastic IFAK. Everything is secure and it is easily accessible. The only thing that is a slight draw back is how the trauma sheers are secured. Even that isn't a huge deal. (Posted on 4/11/2019)
Great Kit with Quality Review by lynyrd1959
AMENDMENT: This is my fault for not looking sooner. I took 2 points away from my previous review after I looked at the tag on the IFAK itself which says, “Designed in AZ” “Made in Vietnam”. I know everyone has to eat and it’s hard to stay competitive these days but I always look for the “Made in USA” label. I haven’t been able to find the product that works the way this one does that is Made in the USA. When I do I will replace these accordingly. Certainly not Berry Compliant so I won’t give any of these to my soldiers, but they will do for now with my civilians until I can find the right product.
I gave 1 point back due the fact that being made in (Posted on 12/16/2018)
Great Kit with Quality Review by lynyrd1959 Verified Purchase
This IFAK is well made and very thoughtfully put together. It lays flat and deploys quickly. It can be deployed one-handed and can easily be separated from the host for use elsewhere if needed. It has the essentials included (if you buy the kit) at a very reasonable price. There is room for a few extras, but don’t be “that” medic or squad member who over-stuffs their kit. If you land on this kit you won’t be injured or get snagged on anything, assuming you wear it as it is meant to be worn. It is surrounded in MOLLE attachment points for any external needs. Don’t forget your IFAK because I won’t use mine on you until I’ve used yours first! Be prepared!! (Posted on 12/15/2018)
