A2 Plates Bundle

The A2 plate design takes advantage of Steel’s edge-to-edge protection to make a cut that protects your vitals while trimming as much weight as possible: Multi-hit capable, edge-to-edge coverage, Level III+ tested, and lighter than even many ceramic plates at 5.5 pounds. 

The A2’s Level III+ rating means that M855/SS109 rounds at speeds of up to 3,000 FPS, as well as AK-47 rounds (7.62x39) and M80 NATO Ball at 2,850 FPS. Due to the strengths of steel, these plates are able to stop several tight groupings of hits from these threats on virtually any place on its surface. This means it is both multi-hit capable and edge-to-edge protecting. Steel is also especially resistant to backface deformation, the plate’s changing shape from the bullet’s impact.

Armored Republic’s A2 body armor also comes with our proprietary FragLock™ coating, which protects the plate from weathering- this gives it a shelf life of twenty years where it can be safely expected to perform at top strength. The coating also contains the effects of fragmentation and spalling after the bullet is stopped by the plate. The Base Coat deflects material away from you while the Build-Up captures it completely.

The Trauma Pads are made of a non-newtonian foam material that resists compression and mutes blunt force impact.
