The Testudo Gen 2 is the best-selling carrier in the world for civilians: a one-stop solution for the coverage and utility most people need.
Size plays a major role in the Testudo’s appeal; hardly anyone has ever found the Testudo too small. This is because of its large cummerbund and large plate pockets. This design takes inspiration from the MBAV, a military-issue carrier with an even wider profile. In the generations since then, the Testudo’s design has gotten slicker, but at heart it remains a maximalist retro setup. While large, however, the Testudo’s cummerbund can also accommodate smaller frames. The velcro ends and shock cord adjustments cover a wide size range.
Beyond body type compatibility, coverage is also a major asset for many people. The Testudo is the only carrier of the lineup that can accommodate the larger 11×14” plate size. Its cummerbund can also carry side plates and soft armor wraparound panels. Not everyone desires this level of coverage, but many do. With the Testudo, it’s always an option.
The A2 is 5.5 pounds and stops both M80 Ball and M855 Green Tip. It also is rated to stop 7.62×39 (i.e. AK-47).
A2 plates are thin, durable, and resistant to Backface Deformation, meaning fewer broken ribs upon impact. The FragLock coating preserves the integrity of the armor & helps to redirect fragmentation away upon impact.
Each plate is forged from a proprietary alloy blend, unavailable to other armor suppliers. This blend makes our plates more reliable & even stronger than typical armor steel.
The Multi-Caliber Rifle Magazine Double Pouch accommodates all common rifle magazines and is capable of accommodating magazines such as 5.56×45 (.223), 7.62×39 AK, or 7.62×51 NATO (.308 Winchester). This particular bundle offers this pouch in its double configuration; this means it can carry up to two magazines in each of the two pouches, sewn together for easy accessibility.
Each pouch of the Multi-Caliber Pistol Magazine Pouches accommodate all common pistol magazines, in single or double stack form, from .22LR to .50AE and everything in between, including Five-Seven.
The Trauma Pads are a non-newtonian material that absorbs compressive force to mitigate the blunt impact that otherwise causes secondary injuries after an incoming bullet is stopped.
