     Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ordered two carriers.  One I want to swap colors on due to a mistake I made in the order (wanted black mulicam but ordered multicam) and one I want to return because it doesn’t fit the 10x8 plates as advertised.

This is the email response (screenshot below).  Claim they never advertised the 10x8 would fit one carriers, it only fits ‘their 10x8, when it says it right in the website description (photo below) it is ‘designed for 10x8’.

While the initial response from customer service wasn’t helpful, Carson Barney responded to my email and issued a refund for the item that didn’t fit the plate and sent me a second carrier in the color I wanted.  Over and above what I was asking for.

Can’t always expect things to be right on the first shot, but much respect for vendors who own a mistake and go over and above to fix it.

Ordered a plate carrier and plates on March 20th with my current address which si the same as my billing address on the armored republic website with my email. I got the invoice showing my products and my current billing and shipping address here in mesa. The next day saw that a shipping label was created but was shipping to an address that I lived at 4 years ago from the last time I ordered a rig and plates from them. Submitted a ticket and was promptly replied back to and was told my Eric in email confirmation that my shipping address would be updated prior to the shipping company picking the items up the next day. The next day rolls around and it's still shipping to Tempe. Item was than delivered to Tempe at an address I do not live at any more, that I haven't lived at in a handful of years. I have sent emails back to no reply. So someone else received my package and armored republic received payment for a product I wasn't given.

Update: Armored Republic made good on their word and sent out a new kit and was delivered with no issue in a insanely quick time frame. Very thankful for your customer service and correcting the issue. Will definitely be buying more products in the future. Thank you.

Is body armor legal in my state?

Body armor is legal to own in most states for law-abiding citizens.

However, New York and Connecticut are governed by tyrants and have enacted laws to inhibit your ability to purchase armor. In response, we have organized certain deals that are legal in New York. Click here. Please contact customer service for further details if you are a resident of one of these states and are interested in purchasing armor.

How do I know what size I need?

Proper sizing depends on your body type and the product. Most of our plate carriers are adjustable to fit a wide range of users.
As a general guide:

Choose a plate that covers your vital organs (not your entire torso)
Most adults use 10×12” plates

How heavy are the plates?

Weight varies greatly by plate type. If you are looking to cut weight, the Level III+ Lightweight options are only 5.5 pounds per plate.

Each product page includes the specific weight and dimensions.

How fast do you ship?

Due to high volume in recent months, lead times are longer than usual for body armor shipments; please allow for 4 weeks lead time. Many orders go out sooner. All orders ship UPS Ground.
You’ll receive tracking information as soon as your order goes out.

Can I return or exchange my kit?

We accept returns or exchanges within 30 days of purchase, as long as the item is unused and not a custom-built or clearance product.

Are your armor plates NIJ certified?

To get an NIJ certification, which we have done many times, one must:
1. Pay extra thousands of dollars for the sticker.
2. Promise never to improve the plate.
3. Consent to government searches of our facility in perpetuity.

All of our armor is tested to meet and exceed NIJ standards, at the exact same independent laboratories that test for NIJ certification.

As we continue to develop new plates, in most cases we have decided to forgo the bureaucratic stamp while still using the same respected independent laboratories.
