Armored Republic makes all body armor in-house with orders subject to production and processing times. In-stock items typically ship in 5-10 business days, while custom items follow specific lead times. All orders ship FedEx with 2-5 day delivery. Most items can be returned within 30 days if in new condition with original tags, though some products like medical supplies and ceramic armor are non-returnable.

Size Guide for Optimal Fit and Coverage
Get size Medium if you wear a Small to Large sized shirt, Large for XL to XXL frames or if you are taller than 6’2″ and utilize 11×14″ plates. The cummerbund fits Armored Republic 6×6″ Side Plates. It will not hold 6×8″ Side Plates.
Enhanced Quick-Detach System for Rapid Adjustability
The Testudo design is the carrier of choice for a massive coalition of Free Men. Now, we are honored to present its best and newest model, the Gen 3, featuring the Quick-Detach Buckle System. A cummerbund is great for its precise adjustability; pull it tight to fit you exactly. The downside is that it takes a bit longer to take it off. The QDS fixes that. Pull a cord away from you and the carrier will open on that side for quick removal.
Superior Comfort with Padded Design and Adjustable Fit
The Testudo Gen 3 is made mostly of 500D Nylon, with bar tacks reinforcing all stress points and PALS webbing covering the outside. MOLLE-compatible webbing for pouches, holsters, and accessories.
The generous padding also prevents chafing, making for an armor setup that’s easy to wear for long periods of time. The adjustable shoulder straps, made of nylon, also help you fit the carrier as the low offset makes the rear plate pocket ride at the proper height.
A2 Body Armor: Maximum Mobility with Level 3+ Protection
Thin, Lightweight, and Powerful Defense
The A2 body armor from Armored Republic is thin, low-profile, and low-weight. Ergonomically curved. Sprayed with the proprietary FragLock™ Coating for frag protection & preservation of the plate. Especially mobile at just 5.5 pounds with a thickness of 0.26″. Made with a custom steel alloy blend.
Multi-Hit Capability
Tested to go above and beyond NIJ level 3 standards, the curved, shooters cut A2 armor plate is level 3+ rated to defeat all pistols and most rifle ammunition, including 5.56×45 M855/SS109 at 3,000 FPS, 5.56×45 M193 at 2,900 FPS, as well as AK-47 rounds (7.62×39) and .308 (7.62×51 M80 NATO Ball) at 2,850 FPS. Also, thanks to the custom steel alloy blend, it is able to protect against several hits without shattering or breaking like ceramic or polyethylene would. It also provides the same protection on the edges as it does in the center, giving you true edge-to-edge coverage.
Innovative FragLock™ Coating
The FragLock™ Coating, available in both Base Coat and Build-Up Coat versions, is a feature of Armored Republic plates that protects both the user and the plate itself. The Base Coat seals the armor plate from sweat and other contaminants that would compromise the steel core & deflects bullet fragmentation away upon impact. The Build-Up Coat captures fragmentation within the coating. With either the Build-Up or Base Coat of FragLock™, this plate has a shelf-life of twenty years and requires no maintenance.
The Pouch Suite
The Multi-Rifle Magazine Pouches from Armored Republic accommodate all common rifle magazines in a single, double, or triple magazine pouch, and are capable of accommodating magazines such as 5.56×45 (.223), 7.62×39 AK, or 7.62×51 NATO (.308 Winchester).
Each section can accommodate up to two small rifle magazines or one large rifle magazine. Front-mounted elastic tabs add versatility and additional mounting points for 12-gauge shotgun shells, tourniquets, chem-lights, or other horizontally mounted accessories.
Pouches are constructed from genuine 500D Cordura, and retention flaps feature an easy-to-grip Hypalon® pull tab. The removable retention strap allows you to adjust magazine capacity, size, and retention or remove it entirely to run an opened-top configuration.
The Multi-Caliber Pistol Magazine Pouches from Armored Republic accommodate all common pistol magazines, from .22LR to .50AE.
