About the Armor
The A4 Body Armor Plate is a steel/titanium alloy with immense stopping power. It stops the following rounds:
- 5.56×45 M193 @ 3,250 FPS
- 7.62×51 M80A1 (ie .308 Enhanced Performance Round) at 2,800 FPS.
The A4 stops round after round without significant damage to its structure, making it the most durable high-power plate possible.

The Testudo is the best-selling carrier in the world for civilians: a one-stop solution for the coverage and utility most people need.
Size plays a major role in the Testudo’s appeal; hardly anyone has ever found the Testudo too small. This is because of its large cummerbund and large plate pockets. This design takes inspiration from the MBAV, a military-issue carrier with an even wider profile. In the generations since then, the Testudo’s design has gotten slicker, but at heart it remains a maximalist retro setup. While large, however, the Testudo’s cummerbund can also accommodate smaller frames. The velcro ends and shock cord adjustments cover a wide size range.
Beyond body type compatibility, coverage is also a major asset for many people. The Testudo is the only carrier of the lineup that can accommodate the larger 11×14” plate size. Its cummerbund can also carry side plates and soft armor wraparound panels.
In its 3rd Generation, the Testudo made a major leap forward in carrier technology with its click-in Quick-Detach System, a major ease-of-use improvement, and soft armor pockets that extend the entirety of the cummerbund.
About the Pouches
The Double Pistol Magazine Pouch accommodates all common pistol magazines from .22LR to .50AE. Thinner magazines can also be double-stacked, two per pocket.
The Kangaroo Magazine Pouch is a three-cell magazine compartment for the Testudo Kangaroo Pouch. It fits AR-15 as well as AK-47 magazines.
