The American Steel Kit V2 is our most popular armor kit, now available in OD Green. Combining the Testudo Gen 2 Plate Carrier, Chest Rig, and Lower-Back IFAK Pouch, this kit offers unmatched durability, comfort, and tactical versatility.
Testudo Gen 2 Plate Carrier
The Testudo Gen 2 is distinguished by its fully adjustable cummerbund and shoulder straps, ensuring a secure, comfortable fit for all users. Features include:
- Padded Comfort: Provides extra cushioning and compression resistance for extended wear.
- PALS Webbing: Allows for easy attachment of MOLLE-compatible pouches and accessories.
- Lightweight Design: Reduces fatigue, enhancing your mobility and performance.
Note: 11×14” plates are recommended for users 6’4” or taller.
Tactical Storage & Versatility
This kit includes multiple pouches designed for convenience and adaptability:
- Chest Rig:
- Usable independently or with the plate carrier.
- Includes an H harness for standalone use and swift clips for easy carrier attachment.
- Lower-Back IFAK Pouch:
- Designed for quick access while staying out of the way. (Note: IFAK not included)
- General Purpose Pouch:
- Rugged, MOLLE-compatible design (6.5”x6”x3”) with internal dividers and elastic anchors.
- Zipper design prevents contents from spilling, with a Velcro patch panel for customization.

- Lightweight: Weighs just 5.5 lbs per plate.
- Effective Protection: Stops M80 Ball, Green Tip, and M193 rounds, as well as 7.62×39 AK-47 rounds (not rated for AP rounds).

Optional Trauma Pads
The Trauma Pads use non-Newtonian material to absorb compressive force and reduce blunt impact, mitigating secondary injuries caused by stopped bullets.
