The Veritas Lite Chest Rig Loadout

The Veritas Lite is a slimmed-down version of our standard Veritas plate carrier. It holds 10"x12" sized plates and has plenty of PALS webbing for attaching your MOLLE-compatible pouches, holsters, and accessories. It features American-made, impact-resistant buckles as the original, but eliminates the bulk and weight of the padding, 3D mesh, and removes the MOLLE webbing on the upper front and rear portions (both replaced with a large area of Velcro®). It is ideal for wearing over a soft armor vest. 

Our A2 steel plates are tested to go above and beyond NIJ Level 3 standards, the shooters cut A2 plate is Level III+ rated to defeat all pistols and most rifle ammunition, including 5.56x45 M193, 5.56x45 M855/SS109 at 3,000 FPS as well as AK-47 rounds (7.62x39) and .308 (7.62x51 M80 NATO Ball) at 2,850 FPS. Also, thanks to the custom steel alloy blend, it is able to protect against several hits without shattering or breaking like ceramic or polyethylene would. It also provides the same protection on the edges as it does in the center, giving you true edge-to-edge coverage. 

The Chest Rig, which is principally made of 500D Cordura Nylon, is designed to be useful in two different ways: for independent usage or with a carrier. With the included H harness, the Chest Rig comes ready to use as its own setup- a platform for carrying front-line gear in front of you, similar to the Battle Belt, a likely complement to the Chest Rig. Instead of switching each individual magazine, medical kit or other tool, use a setup already put on your Chest Rig. 

Unlike most rigs on the market, Armored Republic’s design also incorporates 3 rows of MOLLE webbing on the external so you can mount additional pouches for customization. One benefit of this is the included MOLLE extension wings that accommodate additional pouch mounting. Wings allow the mounting of pouches to the left and right of the Rig and are removable when not in use. Another feature is the removable hook cover on the back of the Chest Rig. This Velcro backside cover is used to prevent snagging on t-shirts, and when removed, allows securement to a carrier without a cummerbund flap.
