The Veritas Lite is fast, reliable, and adjustable; most importantly, it holds your armor, but it also can carry a plethora of other Tools of Liberty also included in this package. In this bundle, the Veritas Lite comes with the cummerbund upgrade, which allows for a quick-don mode if you leave the cummerbund off, or greater stability and comfort if you choose to attach it.
It also comes with the Admin Pouch: don’t shuffle through your pants pockets ever again. Put what you need into a pocket right in front of you–a pen or Rite in the Rain pad, a knife, a compass, or anything else you’ll need readily accessible on the field. The ID space is kept on front so you lose no functionality from the carrier’s velcro, giving you the best of both options.
The Veritas can also be made to fit any size from a Medium to an XXL. Genuine 500D Cordura® nylon makes up the bulk of the carrier. For comfort and ventilation, a 3D mesh pads much of the carrier.
The accompanying A2 plates are made of high-grade, high-hardness alloy; they have gained prominence for their special-threat resistance coupled with multi-hit capability and greater thinness than other materials, such as ceramic or polyethylene. The A2 design also dodges complaints of heaviness by being just 5.5 pounds.
Independently tested to NIJ 0101.06 standards, our A2 plates stop 7.62x51 M80 NATO Ball (.308 Winchester) at a velocity of up to 2,780 FPS, and are special-threat tested to stop 5.56mm M855/SS109 (Green Tip) at a velocity of 2,780 FPS. This testing is done by independent facilities Oregon Ballistics (OBL), and H.P. White Laboratories.
For every plate of armor, a Trauma Pad is also added to mitigate the blunt force trauma of the bullet’s impact and keep the plate from losing its shape. They are soft, flexible, and lightweight, making them easy to wear behind each plate without adding to your load.
The accompanying Pistol Double Pouches are capable of holding all common magazines of their type with no significant addition to weight. Also, being double pouches, each pouch is capable of holding two magazines in separate compartments; get twice as much ammo per pouch at hand.
