Special-threat armor in an ease-of-use carrier: The Veritas Lite is our simplest full-coverage plate vest, now with a cummerbund to stabilize the setup even when you move quickly. The Level III+ Lightweight clearance plates feature a free upgrade to the multi-curve ergonomic profile and give you special-threat, multi-hit, edge-to-edge protection.
These plates are on clearance solely because we’ve updated the cut on our current A2 plates. We stand by them as examples of expert craftsmanship with high-grade materials for an excellent product.
Long-time customers may recall that we used to identify our plates by their threat level before identifying them based on materials used. The 10” x 12” Level III+ Lightweight Advanced Shooters Cut (ASC) plates in this bundle are a remnant from that period. This plate is an Alloy plate that uses the steel now in our A2 product line, capable of defeating a majority of rifle rounds including; 5.56x45 M193, 5.56x45 M855/SS109 at 3,100 FPS as well as AK-47 rounds (7.62x39) at 2,450 FPS and .308 (7.62x51 M80 NATO Ball) at 2,850 FPS.
These plates are ergonomically curved and feature our FragLock Base Coat to deflect fragmentation away from you upon bullet impact. These plates were made before we navigated to our ambi-cut A2 plate line, and are intended to especially benefit right-handed shooters with more space to shoulder a rifle in a right-handed position. They also feature more coverage than the modern A2 at the cost of a marginally higher weight.
This bundle also includes the Veritas Lite, a slimmed-down version of our old Veritas plate carrier. The Veritas Lite will accommodate any 10” x 12” size armor plate or panel insert. It includes MOLLE webbing on the front side for attaching any pouches, gear, and accessories.
