One word: scalability. With a slick carrier, you can go from concealed to fully loaded without switching vests. That strategy best complements the resources currently available and the needs of a man preparing for political unrest. A militaristic look is not always best.
What if I need more gear?
If you choose to scale up, there are three effective strategies. The first is to use the micro harness which comes with the carrier to attach a buckle-based placard or chest rig. This keeps the placard incredibly stable. The second is an even more streamlined version, which is to use the slits in the front plate pocket to weave your rig without buckles. This requires the right type of placard. The third way, and arguably the fastest, is to take a chest rig with its own independent harness and throw it over the armor.
Will the Regicide fit my plates?
Yes, almost certainly. The Regicide has been tested, not just for viability, but for effectiveness, with plates ranging from From Small SAPI to 11×14″ armor plates. That’s a wide range. It can do this due to the Shapeshift Tabs on the user side of the plate bags, as well as the extended plate pocket flap.
Will the Regicide fit me?
Yes, almost certainly. The Regicide’s elastic cummerbund accommodates the widest size range of any of our carriers (featuring both the smallest and largest possible configurations), and it does so securely with the extra layer of Velcro Hook in the rear plate pocket’s cummerbund sleeve.
