The JN I (“John 1”) Chest Rig was made to be customized; its MOLLE webbing on the front and detachable wings carry whatever pouch setup you prefer. 

We launched the COMMS Kit to highlight that customization as part of the HOMEFRONT Campaign Phase II. Here, you have the very large General Purpose Pouch on the right; the adjustable Radio Pouch on the left; five pistol mag pouches on the front; three rifle mag cells in the center.

As with most chest rigs, the JN I works independently and with a carrier. The included H harness (named such because of the back resembling an H adjusts at three points to match your desired size and ride height. To attach to a plate carrier, the swift clips on the harness can be removed and placed on the carrier’s swift clip MOLLE points.

A Velcro Delete Panel is also included to aid use as a Chest Rig; this can be removed so the Velcro sticks to the plate carrier when used as a placard.

The JN I, like most textile gear in existence, is principally made of 500D Cordura Nylon. This material is favored for its balance of strength and flexibility.

The General Purpose Pouch from Armored Republic offers a compact, MOLLE-compatible storage solution for small items you need quick access to, such as GPS units, chemlights, mini-binos, and more. The Radio Pouch is fully and quickly adjustable, featuring elastic sides, a velcro bottom closure to adjust radio depth and allow quick MBITR battery change, (without affecting any PTT lead/antenna wiring on the carrier), and a tie-adjustable shock-cord retention band to fit a wide range of radios on the market. It also attaches in multiple ways: it can be mounted horizontally in the six o’clock position using the plate pocket, or using MOLLE webbing. It can also be attached using a hook-and-loop wing panel, which allows the pouch to be positioned to the left or right, under the cummerbund. This frees up MOLLE webbing on your cummerbund for additional gear.

The Multi-Caliber Pistol Magazine Pouches from Armored Republic accommodate all common pistol magazines in single or double stack form from .22LR to .50AE, and everything in between, including 5.7. 

Pouches are constructed from genuine 500D Cordura nylon, and retention flaps feature an easy-to-grip Hypalon® pull tab. The removable retention strap allows you to adjust magazine capacity, size, and retention or remove it entirely to run an opened-top configuration. Includes one, two, or three MALICE CLIPS®, as appropriate, to attach to your MOLLE-compatible platform.

The AR Battle Belt is a 3-in-1 modular belt that switches between a waist belt, duty belt, or war belt depending on which of the three included parts you use. Its primary material is Cordura® Nylon, while Velcro® is used to attach the three parts securely, and durable ITW-Nexus buckles are used for each part of the belt. Additionally, featured on the Outer Belt is a covering of PALS webbing for compatibility with MOLLE gear.

BATTLE BELT

An adjustable three-piece system, the Battle Belt comes in four sizes and includes a 3-point release safety lock buckle (ITW-Nexus) for maximum security.

• Inner Belt: 1.5” nylon webbing, worn through your belt loops and covered with hook and loop material, allowing it to attach to the Duty Belt.
• Duty Belt: 2” SCUBA webbing that securely holds your standard loadout features, such as a handgun and reloads.
• Outer Belt: 500D Cordura sleeve that slides onto the Duty Belt; it features two rows of PALS webbing for attaching MOLLE-compatible pouches and accessories
