The Blue State Battle Kit (Carrier + Pouches)

The Testudo is made mostly of 500D Nylon, with bar tacks reinforcing all stress points and PALS webbing covering the outside for attaching your MOLLE-compatible pouches, holsters, and accessories.  The generous padding also prevents chafing, making for an armor setup that’s easy to wear for long periods of time. The adjustable shoulder straps, made of nylon, also help you fit the carrier as the low offset makes the rear plate pocket ride at the proper height. 

One of the biggest advantages of the Testudo is its cummerbund: A sash around the lower half of the carrier that both gives you side-plate pockets for extra armor and gives you full adjustability to tighten the carrier to a perfect fit. This adjustability makes the Testudo more than a “one-size-fits-all” solution since the size itself can be changed to best suit you.

The Multi-Rifle Magazine Pouches accommodate all common rifle magazines in a single, double, or triple magazine pouch, and are capable of accommodating magazines such as 5.56x45 (.223), 7.62x39 AK, or 7.62x51 NATO (.308 Winchester). 

Each section can accommodate up to two small rifle magazines or one large rifle magazine. Front-mounted elastic tabs add versatility and additional mounting points for 12-gauge shotgun shells, tourniquets, chem-lights, or other horizontally mounted accessories.

Pouches are constructed from genuine 500D Cordura nylon, and retention flaps feature an easy-to-grip Hypalon® pull tab. The removable retention strap allows you to adjust magazine capacity, size, and retention or remove it entirely to run an opened-top configuration.

The Waterproof Kangaroo Insert is intended to convert the Kangaroo pocket on a plate carrier to a waterproof zippered enclosure, making access even easier, and protecting your gear from moisture.

Simply open your Kangaroo pocket, place the Kangaroo Insert into the Velcro in the pocket, then insert your items.

ARMOR UPGRADE PACKAGE

Our Heritage Armor Plate, unlike ceramic or polyethylene alternatives, is capable of protecting against several direct hits while still being less bulky than competing materials. It also has been independently tested in accordance with NIJ 0101.06 threat levels through Oregon Ballistics (OBL), and H.P. White Laboratories. This means that its level 3 body armor protection is rated to stop 7.62x51 M80 NATO Ball (.308 Winchester) at a velocity of up to 2,750 FPS, and special threat tested to stop 5.56mm M855/SS109 (Green Tip) at a velocity of 2,750 FPS.
