I think you see that most if not all complaints or low scores were due to extended delivery times, and in some cases less than perfect customer service in regards to being able to predict when someone's order will be delivered.
My experience with AR500 has been 5 stars all the way, from my first purchase a few years ago, then during their big move, and even the last order still gets 5 stars.
I have not personally felt "neglected" as a customer, but I have responded to in a reasonable time frame for every E-mail I have sent.
The worst thing I can say about AR500 is they did ship the wrong size "T-shirt" one time. No problem though, my wife got a new sleeping shirt. (Posted on 9/8/2018)
Would love to tell you all how I like this product. Unfortunately I have now been waiting 13 going on 14 weeks for it to even ship! No communication from the company no nothing. Never order this product if it has any sort of lead time you are not guaranteed to even receive it. If Ar500 ever decides to fulfill the order maybe I will modify this review. (Posted on 7/28/2018)
I ordered this for my daughter when she went off to college. With all of the issues happening in schools and public institutions. It put my mind at ease knowing she has a shield in her back pack that is strong enough to defeat the most common threat but is light enough to insure she will always have it with her.
I recently took advantage of the Rimling 10 X12 BOGO sale.
I have ordered Body armor from others and it literally came in piece by piece and we are talking months between actually delivery. While I was "on the job" my agency supplied me with body armor. But when I retired I had grown accustomed to having body armor when I carry a weapon or go to the range. I had only wished I had also purchased my vest from AR500 who delivers on time, and informs customers of any delays.
They also offer discounts for those on the job, first responders and military. (Posted on 4/15/2018)
It fits my plate carrier perfectly. Delivery was fast, too. I haven;t actually been shot while wearing it, so I cannot comment on it's effectiveness. If that ever happens, I'll keep you up to date, if the internet still works then.

I ordered this based on the recommendation from our senior firearms instructor. As a probation/parole officer and having to wear body armor for extended periods of time, this is very comfortable and light!! At this price point, it's an exceptional value!!! (Posted on 10/10/2015)
Received IIIA armor in under a week. We do prisoner transport and when we go out, we are just wearing our stab vests. Excellent prices makes ballistic armor attainable as the job doesn't provide it. Fits perfect in existing vest. Thanks guys. (Posted on 9/28/2015)
Received the Rimelig IIIa only 3 days after ordering it, fast service! Got this setup with the "urban-go" carrier for those "on the move"/away from home type scenarios, call it my "go-armor". Bought the level III Hard armor and "Sentry" carrier earlier this year as my "shelter in place" or "home defense" system. AR500 Armor=great product, great value. (Posted on 9/9/2015)
My Rimelig armor arrived slightly ahead of the projected schedule! With church shootings, school shootings, threats from ISIS, and crime in the community on the rise, every time you turn around, I feel safer with this product. I will use this with the concealed carrier, during the normal day. And, I'm not law enforcement, just an average everyday citizen, and how many civilians say, "It will never happen to me?!" The odds are slim, but I wear it "just in case". The hard armor can be used in any SHTF scenario, should the grids ever go down, if you need increased rifle protection! Otherwise, this Rimelig soft armor is light and will offer protection from most common threats.
I am also a prepper, and have plenty of supplies and such, but I figured some body armor would be extra insurance for family survival. This is a great product. Thanks, Armor 500! (Posted on 8/12/2015)
Great product. Needed something I can wear under my uniform jacket concealed. Still waiting on the concealment plate carrier, but I'm sure it will work perfectly. It's lightweight and portable. I can even drop it in my hydration pack for a little sense of security. Thanks a ton AR500! (Posted on 7/22/2015)
So far I have been impressed with the Rimelig armor I received. They were delivered promptly even though I requested that the "Advanced Shooters Cut" be configured for a lefty. Great products, reasonable prices and good customer service. (Posted on 6/24/2015)
I ordered during the Memorial Day sale and they arrived very quickly, considering they have to be made when ordered. I'd rather wait a little longer when ordering soft armor being it has an expiration date. The appearance is great, quality workmanship through and through. I'm ordering another carrier and some trauma pads, and like others has said, I'm not going to test it till it expires. I have every confidence in AR500 products, and i also own 3A armor from them. (Posted on 6/21/2015)
It is no thicker than IIA from another manufacture that I've worn daily and it seems lighter and conforms well to the body. I have worn other IIIA body armor and it was not as comfortable and far more restricting, so i glad that bending over and in other positions are much more achievable with this armor. I ordered this during the Memorial day sale. Not much to say, my concealment carrier is on its way so i can't test fit it yet.
I'm impressed with the quality of the Rimelig and trauma pad.
Only complaint is it took like a week to get here, after the shipping label was created. I'm a patient person so no big deal.
Thank you AR500! (Posted on 6/15/2015)
I'm not sure how to review this product other than it's appearance and wearability because I'm not going to shoot it or find someone to shoot at me while wearing it. I don't have the money to waste on testing. I think that the videos that AR500 Armor have produced have given me confidence in their products enough to trust my life wearing one of them. They do have as good a wearability as can be expected for this type of life saving products and others must think the same as there can be long wait times to receive an order. Thank you AR Armor for a well made produce at a reasonable price. (Posted on 5/31/2015)
Ordered this the first day I saw it was out. Waiting for my Wolf concealment vest to ship to actually wear. I also have the Carbon nanotube SA. The Rimelig is a bit thicker and a bit heavier. Of course there is a $40 price difference. I will reiterate the same request I made in my nanotube review ... AR500 please put a note about the 5 year life span of soft armor in the description. I know on the forums it's "common knowledge" but I think if its printed on the Armor it should be disclosed in the description. Thank you. (Posted on 5/28/2015)
