FANTASTIC Review by DOUGLAS

I was going to order just one plate for the front, because I run towards the gun fire. Eric pointed out for balance and to save your back muscles two plates would work best. I ordered the Concealment Hard Armor Package. Ordered on a friday came in the mail on tuesday that's on FOUR AND A HALF DAYS. Everything fits great. Bought this for me to wear during security duty at my church. (PTLAPTA) Praise the Lord and pass the ammo. Thank you. (Posted on 6/18/2019)

Plates took very long to get to me. I like the plate itself, but the plate is not multi curve, it is single curve. This product is not as advertised. I would still buy it, but they need to properly describe their products. (Posted on 3/23/2019)
Awesome Kit Review by T

Recently purchased two of these with the spall build up and multi curve as well as their Testudo Gen 2 PC. Absolutely awesome. Plates are very well done and extremely tough. Light as good steel armor can possibly be. The Testudo Gen 2 is extremely comfortable to wear. Look no further. This stuff is as good as it gets for tough as nails, high quality kit. Great job, AR500! (Posted on 1/25/2018)
Seems well made. Review by Mack

I was lucky enough to get these with the Testudo promotion! With my lack of experience of getting shot at considered.... seems really well made and light weight. I would buy these at full price over again... I'm not worried about them not rated for AP rounds. Lets face the truth...if someone is aiming at you and sending AP rounds...$300 worth of plates wont get you out of the mess you would be in anyway. Thanks ar500 armor for the great product!!! I bought a set of these with build up and multi-curve for when I'm assigned to an area where I know theres an increased chance of threats that my daily IIIA vest just can't handle and was overall very pleased. My order was at my door within 5 weeks which blew the 17 week lead time out of the water.

Pros:
-Weight (if you complain about the weight you haven't worn body armor before, let alone for an extended period of time. Its armor, not a pillow)
-Price
-Multi-hit capability that can't be found in ceramic or UHMWPE
-Cut covers the vital areas quite well, unless you are quite tall then the 11X14 will do the trick. Hate to break it to the "big" guys (i would fall into that category too so don't get all bent out of shape) but no matter how much you tack on your vital area remains the same.

Cons:
-"Multi-curve": The only reason this is in quotes is because I was expecting to have curves a little more similar to those found on sapi plates. Instead there is only a noticeable curve along the "y axis". Regardless, it still fits to the contours of most torsos quite well.

This plate in multi-curve fits well into the Condor Modular Operator Plate Carrier (MOPC) front pouch. The curvature is slight, and you would probably be fine to go with a single curve plate for the front, or even flat for the back. (Posted on 8/4/2016)

After years of a full army IBA with e SAPI plates this armor is feather light by comparison. 5/5 I have recommended this plate to all my friends. (Posted on 6/16/2016)
